Clervaux, Luxembourg. A charming, secluded village where cats outnumber people and reign supreme. For years, this town—known as the feline sanctuary—has drawn visitors eager to meet its mysterious residents and leave with cat-themed souvenirs.

When Aidan, Jess, and their five-year-old daughter, Éléonore, move there from America, they believe they’ve found a hidden paradise. But beneath the cobbled streets and the village’s peaceful facade, an eerie legend endures: according to local lore, each time a cat dies, nine human lives are taken in retribution. To outsiders, it’s nothing more than an old wives’ tale. But to the villagers, it is an unshakable truth.

At first, Aidan and Jess dismiss these stories as mere superstition—until one fateful night, when Jess accidentally hits a cat on her way home. From that moment on, a series of unexplained deaths plagues Clervaux. And with every life lost, a ghostly clowder of cats appears at the scene.

Is this just paranoia feeding off the villagers’ fear? Or is something far more sinister at play?
